We’ve recently posted and helped to spread the news about an “unintended” exploit found in most HP laptops users. The issue with HP laptop machines is the Conexant audio driver where a keylogger was found. You can read more about it on our post about the keylogger found on HP laptops. We’ve got an update and thanks to “Agent Smith” of Latest hacking News because they posted now a list of HP laptops that has been compromised with the keylogger vulnerability.

Just to recap, ModZero’s team opted to publish this vulnerability because neither HP nor Conexant were replying to his reports about the keylogger on the audio device driver. And to help the users, Modzero also provided a step on how to remove or disable this vulnerability as it is very dangerous if the your important access i.e. passwords, are exposed to the wrong people.
Finally, it was reported that HP released an official statement about this issue and will soon release a patch to the given devices above.
